Fort McMurray Fire and Evacuation - Lessons Learned

The Fort McMurray fire and evacuation reminds us all to be prepared for any type of emergency.  You may need to leave your home with only seconds to spare. Make the time now to talk with your family about an emergency plan, how you will communicate with each other and where you will try and meet up.  Make sure you have an emergency kit which includes rescue items, first aid and portable food and water rations for at least 72 hours.  Keep a list of important documents and the items you want to take with you if you need to evacuate quickly.  You might not be thinking clearly!
